In these Terms & Conditions,

 “You” and “your” relates to all people named on the booking form and staying in the accommodation detailed above.

“We”, “us” and “our” means Jenny and / or Gary Dawson, owners of the property detailed above.

When you make a reservation at the property detailed above you are entering into a contract with the owners of the property.

 

We sincerely wish all our guests a great holiday with us at  Les Chaumières Campagnardes and we will do our very best to ensure you have an enjoyable, stress free and memorable time with your family and friends!

BUT, to protect you and us we ask that all of our guests agree to these terms and conditions.

Please read the following pages carefully. By completing the booking form you are stating that you have  read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions

 
1 Making a Booking 

 

The signature of the primary contact on the booking form confirms that:

A)      he / she is over eighteen years of age

B)      he / she has read, understood, and accepted these terms & conditions

C)      he / she is responsible for making all payments due to us by the due dates

D)      he / she is authorised to make the booking and all members of the party agree that the booking will be governed by these terms and conditions

 All bookings depend on your desired property being available on your desired dates. The completed, signed booking form and payment of a deposit of 25% of the cost of your stay is required to secure a booking. Provisional bookings will be held for five business days to allow time for your payment to reach us.  If the completed booking form and the required deposit are not received within this time, we will assume the booking to be cancelled and the dates will be released for booking by other guests.

Upon receipt of the booking form and required deposit, we will send a Booking Confirmation email as soon as possible.

This Booking Confirmation email is our acceptance of your reservation, and the point at which a binding contract between you and us has been entered into. It will confirm all the details of your booking, including the total cost, deposit paid, remaining amounts to be paid and due dates. You must inform us immediately if any of the information in your Booking Confirmation email is incorrect. Please remember to advise us if you change your email address. When we receive your final balance payment, we will email again detailing arrival information.

We reserve the right to refuse any booking before we send the Booking Confirmation email. If we do this, we will promptly tell you by email and arrange the refund of any monies you have paid to us. In this case we will not have any legal responsibility to you. 

 

2 Payment

A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required to secure the booking.
The balance of the cost of your accommodation is due no later than 8 weeks prior to your arrival date. If a booking is made within eight weeks of your arrival date, then full payment is required at the time of booking. If your final balance is not received by the due date we will treat the holiday as cancelled by you (see section 3c). 

3 Changes and Cancellations

3a) Changes by you: If you wish to amend any detail of your confirmed booking (eg change of dates or change of property) we will do our best to accommodate your request. We must receive the request in writing (by post or email) from the Primary Contact named on your booking form. Such changes are subject to availability at the time the request is made, and cannot be guaranteed. There will be an administration charge of £15.00 / €20 for any change that we make to a confirmed booking. If we cannot fulfil the changes you request, the original booking will continue to be valid unless cancelled in accordance with these terms & conditions (section 3c)

3b) Changes by us: In the unlikely event that we have to make changes to your confirmed booking (eg. for serious repair work at the property you booked) we will try to find a suitable alternative for you. If this is not possible, we will refund all monies paid by you. If your holiday has been paid in full we will also offer a good-will gesture of £15.00 / €20. This will be our only obligation or liability to you in such circumstances.

3c) Cancellations by you: If you wish to cancel a reservation at any stage, we must be notified as soon as possible, firstly by telephone and then in writing within 24 hours. The day we are notified by telephone is the date we will treat your booking as cancelled. Where you cancel a booking (irrespective of the reason for the cancellation) cancellation charges will be due in respect of our lost income and administration costs as follows:

Please ensure that you take out adequate health, travel and cancellation insurance for your holiday at the time of booking. We cannot be held liable for any costs incurred by you in the event that you cancel your holiday with us.

3d) Cancellations by us:  We absolutely do not foresee having to make any changes or cancellations to any confirmed booking, BUT - in the unlikely event that we do, for whatever reason, we will let you know as soon as possible and the terms set out in section 3b will apply.

 
4 Pricing

 

We may increase or reduce our prices at any time to reflect market conditions. The price of your booking will be confirmed when you make your booking. If we make subsequent increases or reductions to our prices, the price of your booking will remain unchanged.

Our prices include bed linen, gas, electricity and fire-wood; and are for the whole property, not calculated on a per-person basis (unless a specific arrangement has been made with us). If you wish to add people to your booking you are free to do so (up to the standard occupancy level for the property you have booked) but please let us know in advance so that we have the names of all people staying on site, and so that we can prepare the correct number of beds. It may be possible to add one extra bed to any of the properties, but this will incur an additional charge of £12.00 / €15 per night and must be arranged and authorised in advance.

5 Pets

Pets are accepted strictly by arrangement with us at the time of booking. There is an additional charge of £4.00 / €5 per pet, per night. We can only accommodate pets in The Cottage (apart from registered assistance dogs which are welcome in any of our properties) and they must always be prevented from going upstairs by the use of a stair gate.
Pets must not be allowed on beds under any circumstances.
If your dogs are allowed on the sofa at home you must bring suitable covers to protect the furniture.
Pets must be kept under control at all times, must not be allowed in the swimming pools, and must not be left unattended in your accommodation.
Owners are required to bring appropriate bags to clean up after their pet and dispose of the waste in tied up bags in the green bins next to the bread oven.
Owners are also requested to thoroughly clean all pet hair from the accommodation.

6 During your stay

We will:
*Ensure that your accommodation is clean, safe and ready for your occupation by 16:00hrs on the date of arrival.
*Provide all bed linen (beds will be made up for your arrival)
*Include gas and electricity during your stay (and fire-wood in winter)
*Rectify any issues regarding your accommodation within 24hrs of being notified wherever possible.
*Make every effort maintain a quiet, safe and tranquil environment throughout your stay. 
*Respect your privacy and personal belongings.

In return we ask that guests:
*Do not smoke inside the gites. This is to maintain a clean and smoke free environment, and to ensure the safety of all our guests.
*Read the welcome information in your accommodation which contains information about use of the facilities. This information is provided to help all our guests have a comfortable stay.
*Do not use candles or other lighted items inside the properties, except on the rare occasions of a power failure.
*Do not take any glass items to the pool / decking area.
*Sort all waste according to the instructions in your accommodation, and place in the correct bins.
*Follow the instructions provided in your accommodation regarding the Fosse Septique. (Human waste and French       toilet paper are the only items to be flushed) Please do not bring UK toilet paper with you.
*Respect the privacy, personal belongings and private space of the owners.
*Respect other guests' and our neighbours' personal belongings and privacy at all times.
*Do not leave children or pets unattended at the property at any time.
*Do not allow un-supervised children or non-swimmers near the swimming pools or pond.
*Keep noise to a minimum after 11:00pm. If you wish to remain outside after this time, the areas of the garden     furthest  away from our neighbours should be used.
*Ensure the property is left as you find it and vacated by 11:00hrs on the date of departure.

 
7 Additional Information
 
Cots, stair gates and high chairs are available at no extra cost, but must be reserved at the time of booking.
Room fans are available to hire at a cost of 3 euros per night.
We do not supply towels, but if your packing space is limited we have towels available to hire, costing 2 euros per towel.  
Breakages: We accept that the occasional glass or plate will get broken, and will not charge you for reasonable wear and tear, but please tell us if anything is broken or damaged – we would prefer to know before you leave so that we can replace items before the next guests arrive. The Primary Contact will be charged for the replacement of damaged items if we do not consider that the damage is reasonable wear and tear. The Primary Contact will be charged an additional cleaning fee of 50 Euros if the property is not left in the same condition that it was in on your arrival.

If during your stay, any member of your party does not adhere to any part of these terms and conditions we reserve the right to insist that the entire group vacates your accommodation with immediate effect. In these circumstances we will treat the holiday as cancelled by you and no refunds will be paid.

Left Property: If you leave items behind when you vacate the property, we will charge an administration fee of £10.00 / €15 plus postage to cover retrieving, packaging and returning the item.

Disabilities or Medical Issues: Please inform us before making a reservation if any member of your party has any special requirements. Please be aware that both of the properties that have bedrooms and bathrooms on the ground floor have one step into the bathroom, and another into the shower cubicle.
 
Complaints: If you have any complaints about your holiday accommodation, or our conduct towards you, please come & see us as soon as possible. We absolutely want you to feel safe and comfortable, and we will do our utmost to resolve any issues as soon as possible.

 In the unlikely event that we cannot resolve any issue during your stay, any dispute or claim that arises will be governed by French Law, and dealt with by the Courts in France.
